This show marks an exciting milestone in our high school drama program. It features the largest cast in my five years here and, more significantly, showcases an unprecedented level of student leadership across all areas of the production. We have student directors, a student lighting designer, student set painters, and—as many of you know—a student playwright.
It has been a privilege to collaborate with Hayley in bringing her play to life. Who knew that a character journal gifted to her in 8th grade would lead, just two years later, to a suspenseful 120-page script featuring 18 vivid characters—exploring epic themes of fear, loyalty, and death?

From workshopping scenes with actors to cutting, revising, and staging, Hayley has approached every phase with integrity and creativity beyond her years. Her peers have been exemplary partners in the process as well, offering thoughtful feedback and steadfast support throughout.
