Sandy Actors Theatre

 Crew Who's Who

  • Berta Limbaugh head shot

    Berta Limbaugh

    Director

Berta just played the part of Ms. Prism in The Importance of Being Earnest. She has been involved with SAT for many years as an actor, director, and designer. She has also worked with NW Children’s Theatre and MHRT. “When I am doing theater my heart sings. Each individual production is an adventure and an opportunity to experience life in a new and unique way. It is always a thrill.”

  • Anita Sorel head shot

    Anita Sorel

    Producer

Anita has acted, danced, choreographed, and directed most of her long life – “but producing is the hardest thing I’ve ever done”. Anita spent 20 exhilarating years performing professionally in American theater before taking up the challenge of directing/coaching in NYC and Kenya. She has performed opposite Mandy Patinkin, George C. Scott and Don Johnson, toured with the National Shakespeare Co., and tread the boards of Ford’s Theatre in Washington, D.C., Ringling Bros. historic theatre in Baraboo, WI, and George Street Playhouse in Princeton in such roles as Hedda Gabler, Rosalind, Jane in Kind Sir, Abby in Desire Under The Elms, and Mrs. Fezziwig. She is very proud to be a part of SAT where she directed The Importance of Being Earnest, and performed in Deathtrap and Mornings at Seven.

  • Kathy Strickland

    Stage Manager

Kathy is a familiar face at SAT. She has been a board member since 2005, serving as the Treasurer and has been involved in all areas of the theater. “When I was asked to join the board, I knew nothing about theater other than I enjoying watching. I was hooked from the start.” Kathy has performed on stage, produced four plays, been a costumer, prop mistress, sold tickets and concessions, run light and sound, and can be seen out and about selling SAT to anyone who will listen. She is excited to be the Stage Manager for this production, another new challenge. “There’s a special bond between actors in a cast and I look forward to being a part of that. Volunteering is a challenge at times but it’s a great way to make friends and keep busy – any takers out there? Special thanks to my husband Mike for his support in all of my adventures!” Unfortunately, Kathy had a fall and broke her hip. Jim Lamproe will be filling in as Stage Manager for the run of the show.
