Dauri Kennedy
Music Director, Producer
Dauri received her Bachelor of Music from University of Illinois and a Master of Music from UCSB. She is an alumna of Music Academy of the West and has received numerous awards, including the Regional Metropolitan Opera Auditions, the Young Musicians Foundation, a Leni Fe Bland Scholarship, and the Performing Arts Scholarship Foundation First Prize. She teaches music at Marymount, SBCC and is the director of Inner Light Community Gospel Choir. Ms. Kennedy is a highly sought after voice teacher through DMK Studio Studio. Her students win top awards, obtain lead roles and enter into competitive college and summer programs.

Sian Ayers
Director
Sian graduated UCSB with a major in directing, playwriting and stage management. Her most recent works include co-direction of Lion King, Suessical and Wonka at Marymount school, and direction of In His Hands, Miss Lydia Hinkley gives a Bird the Bird, and Evening in Paris among others. She has a long standing love of working with youth in projects such as the Odyssey Project and the Coming Home project through CAW. Sian would like to thank SOPA, the amazing cast and crew of 13 and her family and friends for all their support in making this production so amazing!!!

Miriam Dance
Director, Choreographer
This is Miriam’s 5th show with SBSOPA and she has been Director of Theatre at Marymount of Santa Barbara for 5 years. Other recent credits include: To Kill and Mockingbird (Repertory Theatre of St. Louis), Rent (Arête Productions), Bare (Out the Box Theatre Co.) Smokey Joe’s Café, Swing, and Ain’t Misbehavin’ (Saville Theatre). Miriam holds a BA in Theatre with concentrations in both Directing and Playwriting from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Miriam was a featured playwright in UCSB’s New Works Lab in the Spring of 2017, which featured her one act play: “In His Hands.” Miriam is Co. Founder of Re-imagining and Elevating: Artistic Concepts and Talent (RE:ACT) a nonprofit, making the arts available in underserved communities.
