In Appreciation to…
The SCS Board of Education, Mr. Blanchard, Ms. Blood, Dr. Calacone, Mr. Spicer, Mrs. Polikoski, and the SCS Faculty and Staff: for your patience and support throughout our musical season. Without it our shows would not be a success.
Shawn Gathen & the entire Custodial Staff: for all of your assistance from unlocking doors, turning on lights, endless sweeping, and allowing us to make a mess in the halls. Thank you for your help and patience throughout this year.
Meg Watson: for stepping right into the role as my right hand man. I’m so grateful that you came to Schoharie and did not hesitate to step right into the musical theater family. I have appreciated your knowledge and have learned from you through out this year. When it comes to stage managing, lighting, singing, blocking, etc. you have a knack for all of it. I’m so glad we have been able to become good friends through this process. And thank you Brien for sharing your fiance (!!!) the past 3 months!
Jennifer Clemente: for stepping into a major role and running the chorus rehearsals and playing in the pit. You have been a joy to work with. Your energy and enthusiasm make rehearsals run smoothly. The singers sound beautiful, and it is thanks to your time and effort that they do! And also thank you to your family for giving up your mom for many nights!
Jill Sholtes, Jen Helmstadt, and the Costuming Crew (Marion Jaqueway, Jan Herrick, Kim Culver, Mary Gallagher, Kristin Fox, Kathy Moller, Rachael Starks, Lavina Mulbury, Evelyn Gallup) : for every single costume on stage. You are amazing at having a vision and seeing it through to the end. Every single detail with the clothing is meticulously planned and looks amazing when it all comes together. I’m always amazed by all the work you do and the time, energy, and effort everyone puts in. The kids are able to come alive as characters thanks to their beautiful clothing. A special thank you to Diane at the Little Posy Place for donating time and materials to our costuming team as well!
Reed Sholtes and the building crew (Ben Fox, Michael Uveges, Frank Williams, Joe Parisi, John Frasca, Jed Fox, Jacob Borst, Josh Guasp, Sophia Watson, Mackenzie Heath): for making our sets come to life. Even though things seemed more simple this year, I still needed a working printing press, a time specific camera, and everything on wheels. Thank you for making everything look great, never saying no to any of my crazy ideas, doing just one more fix (on chairs…), and making our sets look beautiful and professional.
Ben Fox: for your continued work on modular extension, platforms, and wings. Now our platforms roll, we will forever have the correct sizes for railings, and traditional backdrop flats (to be turned into periaktoi)! Over the years, these simple set pieces can be modified, reused, adjusted, and expanded on. It is amazing to me that you are always thinking at least six steps ahead to make sure our investments will last. Your time, generosity, and talents will be used for many years.
Jed Fox, Alex Cipperly, Emily Dalhin, Connor Howland, Jacob Borst, and Sophia Watson: for stepping up to the plate and being our tech crew. We appreciate your willingness to learn and assist in the show as much as you do. Jed - an extra thank you for creating our projected images. Your talent with programing amazes me, and I really enjoy being able to ask you to do a fun tech project for the show each year. It really adds another dimension to our show, and I appreciate your time.
