    Vocal Director

    Katheryne is delighted to resume her duties as vocal music director at Scranton Middle School this year.  She has a Bachelors Degree in Vocal Music Education from Eastern Michigan University and recently earned her Masters Degree in Music Education from Kent State University. She has previously been involved with Scranton’s productions of Willy Wonka, Jr and Elf the Musical, Jr.  She was blown away by the talent at Scranton in their recent production of Shrek the Musical Jr and is proud to be a part of The Lion King, Jr. Watching the musical theatre program grow over the past four years has been awesome!  The talent and dedication in Brighton is unparalleled.  She would like to thank the rest of the creative team, cast, crew and staff at SMS for their hard work and efforts in making this musical a success!  To all our students: Break a leg! Katheryne was a student at Scranton and is proud to teach and to live in Brighton with her husband and four children.

    Student Director

    Kyle is one of the student directors of The Lion King JR. He has acted in two shows at the high school and plans to go to film school after he graduates and to begin his career as a film director. He is very excited to be a part of this show!

    Creative Director

    Mark Wilson, Creative Director for The Lion King JR, has been directing Musical Theater for more than a decade. Mark's directing credits include Shrek Jr., The Wizard of Oz, Honk Jr., Phantom Tollbooth, 101 Dalmatians Kids and Aristocats Kids. In addition to directing, Mark has been on stage at the Community Theatre of Howell in the production of Shrek (Papa Ogre & The Big Bad Wolf) and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Brother Asher & The Baker). In addition to his work in theater, Mark is also the Principal of Scranton Middle School. Mark is excited to be sharing this theatrical experience with his 8th grade daughter, Emily, who is a member of the cast! Mark has been honored to work with such an amazing cast who put forth 100% each and every day. Mark would like to thank his family for their support throughout the production, the creative team for bringing all of the elements together and the many parents chipping in to support our kids.
