It is with great pleasure that we present for you one of the world’s best-loved musicals, “Annie.” Everyone can’t help but fall in love with the character of Annie. Perhaps it is her street-wise wit and charm that keep people coming back. Maybe it is her happy-go-lucky attitude. Personally I think it may be her adorable red hair (but my opinion may be biased.) True, Annie does embody all of these characteristics. But I believe it is Annie’s boundless optimism that makes us want to revisit this show again and again. Deep down, I think everyone wishes they could be a “glass is half-full”
kind of person, always looking for the “silver lining.” Annie’s infectious spirit captivates us all as we, too try to find “the sunny side” in our lives.
Tackling this production as the director and choreographer was no easy task. I have many people to thank, for without them, we would not have the wonderful show you are about to enjoy. Thanks to Joan for trusting me with her September Song baby, to Rachel for supporting me, and Sandi for keeping me sane. Thank you so
much to Ed, Missy, Don, and Donna for working your miracles behind the scenes. Thanks to the cast for working so hard these past few months to make all the characters’ acting, singing, and dancing just right. I would also like to thank my family and friends who,
even though have called me crazy, helped me balance my life, thus being able to hang on to my sanity. Finally, a huge thank you to my husband who has been holding down the fort since April. I promise I’ll be home soon.
And thanks to you, our audience, for coming to enjoy the fruits of our labor. And if you are so inclined- please come back “Tomorrow.”
