A Note From The Directors
It is with great pride that we are able to unite as a community to make art. Just as Anastasia longed to find her family and a place to belong, here at September Song we too long for our theater family and to tell stories through song and dance. Like Anastasia, we have all learned that life can change at a moment's notice and to savor every minute given to us.
In this fairy tale we learn that there is more to the world than bad things happening every day. We learn about faith, courage and resilience. We discover how important it is to look at the past with hope and fortitude, but not to dwell on it. We can rise from our circumstances to forge our own bright futures. Like Anya and the Dowager, we can let go of old ways and make way for a dazzling adventure. Like Gleb we can choose to follow our own moral compass instead of a cruel and corrupt government. Like Lily and Vlad, we can learn to make light of our situations and turn to one another for love and support. Like the story tellers we are, we can craft a tale of faith and resurrection out of a difficult era fraught with tragic circumstances.
We are beyond proud of the dedication of our cast and crew to art during these crazy times. And it is because of them we are proud to be their directors.
