Madeline Bateman
as Maria Rainer
Madeline Bateman fostered a love for music at an early age while singing with her mom at Sunday Mass and has loved theater since her first role in kindergarten as Little Red Riding Hood. Madeline has performed in several productions, including Marian the Librarian in SCCTA’s production of The Music Man. Madeline has studied voice for ten years under the direction of Carol Ann Modesitt of SUU.
Madeline currently teaches 4th grade at Monroe Elementary School. She was married in the spring of 2023. Madeline and her husband welcomed a beautiful baby boy named Jesse this past January.
Madeline is thrilled to be playing Maria in one of her favorite musicals. Being born and raised Roman Catholic, she feels deeply connected to the storyline of the show. She feels very grateful to have been cast in a role that means so much to her, and will always cherish the time she spent working with a cast of incredibly talented performers.
