  • John Davis

    as Richard Hannay

    Davis is a senior editor and science writer at Texas Tech University’s Office of Communications and Marketing. He also serves as director of marketing for Sidecar Theatre Co. John comes from Tulsa, Okla., and he received his bachelor’s degree in print journalism from Texas Tech University. A veteran of theatre and independent film in the region, he most recently performed as Corny Collins in Sidecar Theatre Co.’s “Hairspray.” Other credits include the 2010 Flatland Film Festival contender “The File; WNET New York’s REEL 13 contender, “Take Out”; Professor Henry Higgins in Lubbock Moonlight Musical’s “My Fair Lady”; Fr. Brendan Flynn in Hub Theatre Group’s “Doubt”; Lloyd Dallas in Lubbock Community Theatre’s “Noises Off”; Richard Hannay in The Garza Theatre’s “The 39 Steps”; and many others. He also directed the 2008 production of “The Seafarer” and the 2011 production of “Over the River and Through the Woods” at The Garza.

    Julie is delighted to be taking the stage again with Sidecar Theatre Co. in their production of “The 39 Steps.” Julie was born and raised in Lubbock and has always had a love for the arts. During her late high school and college years, she participated in shows with Coronado High School and Lubbock Moonlight Musicals including “Singing in the Rain,” “Fiddler on the Roof,” and “Hello, Dolly!” After attending Texas Tech University to pursue a BBA in Marketing and Management, Julie found herself drawn back to the theater. “I am delighted to be performing again, and with such a wonderful and talented cast. I want to thank the director, Ronnie Miller, for giving me this opportunity and for challenging me on stage each and every day. I also want to thank my cast members for their support, encouragement, and for reminding me why I love performing. Thank you also to my family, who has always been my rock, and to my wonderful friends, co-workers, and supporters.”
