Active and Creative Teen Theatre
ACTT stands for Active and Creative Teen Theatre. ACTT was created in 1997 and is a teen theatre organization receiving direction and support from Springfield Theatre Centre’s Board of Directors. ACTT allows young people aged 13-19 to be involved more directly in what goes on during the production process both onstage and off.They have their own Board, manage and raise their own funds, make their own decisions, and produces two major shows per year, as well as hold open mic nights and various other smaller venues for teens to display their talent. The shows are produced, directed and acted by teens, receiving adult supervision and guidance throughout the rehearsal period.ACTT will be doing outreach activities to get people interested in their program. Activities might include frisbee golf, movie nights, game nights, etc.ACTT is open to anyteen aged 13-19.
