Special Thanks
This production would not be possible without the unwavering support, creativity, and dedication of our Drama Mamas and Papas—the behind-the-scenes heroes who feed us, sew for us, build for us, organize us, cheer for us, and remind us why community matters. Special thanks to Mrs. Corsetti for organizing our parents & concessions! She is our angel!
A Word from Our Sponsor:
The lessons I learned from the St. Bonaventure Theater Department have been pivotal in my life and career. Theater fosters the development of confidence, self-reliance, empathy, creative problem-solving, collaboration, and emotional intelligence, among many other benefits. My theater training taught me to express myself more eloquently in interpersonal situations and public speaking. I learned to walk in others' shoes, which is critical to understanding patients and peers in a field as diverse as medicine.
It was also uncanny how often interviewers for medical school and residency flipped past pages of my academic publications to ask me more about both my theater experience and my time in the Notre Dame Marching Band, which they seemed to find vastly more interesting. I have found that expressing oneself well is never more important than breaking down medical terminology or explaining a complex surgical procedure.
In a field where such communication is key, I was fortunate to have received a solid foundation with the SBHS Drama Department, particularly while working with Patti Strickland. I applaud the students who have put their hearts and souls into this upcoming production – you won't regret the time you've invested in it and in learning more about yourselves. I will continue supporting the Arts in whatever way I can to show my gratitude for the benefits I’ve received. I invite you to do the same. It is very rewarding! Break a leg!
