Barnum - P.T. Barnum was a showman, promoter, and con artist, made famous as part of the founding of what is now known as The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus.

 

Bela Bartok - A Hungarian composer and pianist, Bartok is considered one of the most important composers of the 20th century and is regarded, along with Franz Liszt, as Hungary's greatest composer.

 

Bernadette - A multiple Tony Award winning performer, Bernadette Peters is Broadway royalty and has her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

 

Bock and Harnick - Sheldon Harnick and Jerry Bock were a musical writing team throughout the 1950's, 60's, and 70's with their most famous collaboration being 1964's Fiddler on the Roof.

 

Broadway Cares - Broadway Cares and Equity Fights AIDS were founded in 1988 and 1987, respectively, as two separate groups which merged into Broadway Cares/Equity Fight AIDS in 1993.  To date, BC/EFA has raised over $195 million to provide essential services for people with AIDS and other critical illnesses.

 

Lynda Carter - Honored as Miss World USA 1972, Lynda Carter became famous for playing Wonder Woman in The New Adventures of Wonder Woman during the mid 1970's.

 

Coast of Utopia - A trilogy of three hour plays by famed playwright Tom Stoppard that explores pre-revolution Russia, Coast of Utopia opened in London in 2002 and on Broadway, where it was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Play, in 2007.

 

Comden and Green - Betty Comden and Adolph Green were a famous musical comedy writing team who wrote for Hollywood musicals and Broadway shows.  Their most famous and successful hit was Singin' in the Rain.

 

Michael Crawford OBE - The original Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera, and Barnum in the London production of Barnum Mr. Crawford is also an Officer of the Order of the British Empire.

 

Jim Dale OBE - A Member of the Order of the British Empire, Mr. Dale won a Tony Award for his performance in the original Broadway production of Barnum.

Frodo and Samwise - Hobbits from the Shire in J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings Series, Samwise accompanies Frodo throughout his journey to destroy the One Ring of Power.

 

The Grey Lady - The Grey Lady has become a nickname for The New York Times, allegedly due to its high level of text as compared to graphics.

 

Kitty Carlisle Hart - An esteemed actress and the widow of playwright Moss Hart, Ms. Hart spent twenty years as the chair of the New York State Council of the Arts and fought for funding many arts institutions.

 

I Love My Wife, Romance/Romance - Both of these small musicals feature a cast of four, set to the music of an orchestra as large or larger than the cast.  I Love My Wife featured the four additional musicians on stage as characters.

 

Kander and Ebb - The songwriting team of John Kander and Fred Ebb has written some of the most famous songs of the twentieth entury, including "New York, New York," made famous by Frank Sinatra.  Kander and Ebb are most recognized for the musicals Chicago and Cabaret and the film  Funny Lady.

 

Dinah Manoff - Most well known for playing Carol Westen on T.V.'s Empty Nest, Ms. Manoff won a Tony Award for her performance in I Ought to Be in Pictures.
