is enjoying his third year at Syosset High School, where he teaches music theory, chorale, and improvising music. He graduated with a B.M. in Music Theory and Composition from Westminster Choir College in 2012, and subsequently earned his Master's degree in Music Education from Nazareth College. While at Nazareth, he was the graduate assistant conductor of the Chamber Singers, who performed several of his original choral compositions. He has performed in pit ensembles for several shows in New Jersey, including Side Show, Mack and Mabel, and Annie, and served as a musical director for theatre productions in Rochester, including The Drowsy Chaperone, Bare: A Pop Opera, and Clue: The Musical. He is currently in the process of writing an original musical called Humanity Denied with lyricist Alberta Handelman, which he hopes will premiere soon. Mr. Halbstein is most excited to be a part of this brilliant performance of High School Musical at Syosset High School!
