Syosset High School

 Acknowledgements

It's said it takes a village to raise a child. If that's the case I would present to you it takes an entire city to raise a child up in the arts and help them find their voices and their passion. We have been so blessed in being able to present this story of forgiveness and acceptance, which would not have been possible except for the innumerable contributions of so many people, especially;

Dr. Thomas L. Rogers for his continued support of the Theatre Arts at Syosset High School and in particular being so encouraging as we've been working so hard to continue building this award winning program. Because of you, we've been able to create a program that offers opportunities for these young artists to grow and tell stories of meaning.

The ACT Parent Boosters as well as the parents of everyone in the cast and crew for their cooperation and understanding of the huge time commitment necesary for the success of this production. And most importantly, making sure all of them were fed during the long hours of show week. We thank you for trusting us with your children, not only for this production but also for all the shows throughout the years.

Dr. Durante, Mr. Gessner, Mr. Ruffini and members of the administration for all the support as well as encouragement they've given to the students and for finding ways to help the logistics of theatre work in their busy lives.  Thank you all for understanding that while technology may make our lives easier, the arts make our lives worth living.

George Storm as well as the entire custodial and security staffs for their help, understanding, and patience with all of our late night and weekend rehearsals.

Kathy Eliassof for her unwavering support of our program over all these many years and for continuing to come to create lasting chronicles of our productions. Without her, and husband Morris Eliassof, these fleeting moments of art would be nothing more than the whispered memories of a dream.

Dr. Christopher Hale for continuing to be such a supportive force as we endeavor to continue bringing quality theatre to Syosset. We're so grateful for all of his support and for the vision he has been sharing of how our program can continue to grow for future students.

Kristin Howell and Paul Caputo for being such amazingly professional collaborators all these years. A musical needs the melodies to truly be realized and your artistry and guidance have made all the difference through all of these productions.

Tiffany Holtje and Neal Hagan for continuing to create theatrical magic and worlds within worlds that create the perfect environments for our imaginations to take flight. Without the dedication of these illusionists, none of what you see before you could have sprung from our stage.

To Maria Chambers and Patrick Gessner for making sure the basic elements needed for any theatrical production are there - light and sound. Your passion and enthusiasm are what make our productions consistently look and sound so good.

Jamie Badolato for being here to help the students be clothed in just the right style,  helping to always create the exact look needed for their characters and the production to come to life, and for being such an amazing bright spark during the crazy time that is "hell week".

Mr. Gregory Krajci for graciously coming on in the role of producer this year and "learning the ropes" of all it takes to bring forth an ACT production, your help has been so wonderful - welcome to the madness and the joy!

And lastly, to you our audience, for without you we have no purpose. A story without an audience is simply a breath without a reason. You give us the important element that every production needs. We thank you for sharing your time with us and we hope you enjoy this story brought to you with love.
