"Like so many things, it is not what is outside but what is inside that counts." -Aladdin

Welcome to the bustling streets of Agrabah, where magic awaits around every corner and dreams are just a wish away. As you settle into your seats, I invite you to embark on a journey filled with wonder, adventure, and heartfelt lessons as we present our production of Aladdin Jr.!

Aladdin Jr. isn't just a story about a diamond in the rough finding his way to riches; it's a tale that resonates deeply with audiences of all ages, teaching us invaluable life lessons along the way. At its core, Aladdin reminds us that true strength and wealth come from within. Whether poor or rich, each of us possesses a unique brilliance waiting to shine. As Aladdin himself discovers, it is best to be yourself, embracing your true identity and worth.

Throughout the musical, we witness Aladdin's journey through love and challenges, exploring themes of courage, loyalty, freedom, trust, and acceptance of one's self-worth. Jasmine's longing for freedom and a chance to break free from ancient ways speaks to the universal desire for autonomy and self-expression while still honoring and respecting tradition.

Working with children of all ages in theatre, I am constantly amazed by the capacity of the human heart and mind. Through theatre, young performers not only entertain but also grow and learn. They discover the power of their voices, the shaping of their identities, and the ability to turn imagined experiences into reality. Children's theatre is life-changing, fostering intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual development.

In an educational youth theatre setting, the stage becomes a classroom where curiosity, freedom of expression, creative play, open-mindedness, risk-taking, and the joy of learning reign supreme. These are the foundational pillars of collaborative, connected, and engaged communities where young minds are nurtured and empowered to flourish.

As we celebrate our 20th annual all-school musical, I am immensely grateful to our cast, crew, production staff, and volunteers for their tireless dedication and passion. Together, we have crafted a production that will inspire, entertain, and leave a lasting impact on all who experience it.

Thank you for joining us on this magical journey. May the lessons of Aladdin stay with you long after the final curtain falls, and may we all strive to make every day a new adventure filled with love, courage, and compassion.

I wish for us all to have the courage and conviction to be ourselves and L.O.V.E (Live Our Values Everyday).
