Playwright
John Cariani is an actor and a playwright. He has appeared on and Off Broadway, at regional theaters across the country, and in several films and television shows. He’s been nominated for a Tony Award. He’s done movies with Robert De Niro, Christopher Walken, Ed Asner. Most people seem to know him for his roles on TV’s Law & Order (Forensics Tech Beck), The Onion News Network (Reporter Michael Falk), and Numb3rs (Professor Otto Bahnoff).

Sean Dugan
Director
Sean Dugan completes his second year as an instructor in the Department of Theatre and Film, having directed The Last Days of Judas Iscariot at the Goode for GSA last season. Previously, he taught Acting in the Musical Theatre Department at GSA and served as Artist-in-Residence for two years at his alma mater, Norfolk Academy. Sean returned to Norfolk after spending nearly 25 years as a professional actor based in New York City. During his career, he has had the privilege of performing on stage and in television and film alongside some of the most accomplished professionals in the entertainment industry. His Broadway and Off-Broadway work earned him a Lucille Lortel Award and a Drama Desk Award nomination. His television credits include Law & Order: SVU, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Smash, Boardwalk Empire, and four seasons as Timmy Kirk on HBO's Oz. Telling, the debut short film he wrote and directed, is currently being submitted to film festivals.

George Righter
Set Design Coordinator
George Righter was born and raised in Hampton, Virginia. He did undergraduate studies at University of Virginia and graduate studies at Northwestern University. He has been active in the theatre since high school, and has designed sets, lights and sound for over 120 productions. He possesses extensive skills in carpentry, design, lighting, sound, and scenic artistry. He previously served as the Technical Director for York County's School of the Arts for many years, where he created their Technical Theatre Program. Currently, he serves as the scenic artist at Virginia Stage Company while teaching within the tech tack of the Theatre & Film department at GSA. In his limited free time, he enjoys frolicking with his four cats while cooking gourmet meals for his adoring wife.
