A Note From The President
Well, here we are again at the closing of a very successful year at the Playhouse.
Our mainstage productions, HABEAS CORPUS, EVELYN IN PURGATORY and RED HERRING, were very well recieved shows of a consistenly high quality. Thank you to Directors Dan Friedman, Terry Sagedy and Michael Frohnhoefer, our excellent casts and dedicated production crews. As President and a Producer I love that the best that we can be has been there on our stage for all to see!
So, how do you follow such a stellar set of productions? With more of the same, of course! Cue Brad Blake and Charles Smith!
WINTER WONDERETTES is about as perfect a holiday show as you can get. It's stylish, funny, exciting, and full of heart - with great songs and a perfect cast. Those harmonies......!
It would be remiss of me not to mention two more great successes from this year. We introduced THE COLD LEMONADE READING SERIES in January. We had faith, but didn't anticipate just how it would take off. With sessions most months, we've welcomed so many great authors to present their work, and had such positive feedback that CL will just go from strength to strength as a permanent part of our program. Then there's PLAYHOUSE KARAOKE nights, one of those 'lets try it out' things that instantly became a regular event - I'm always being asked when the next one will be.
And what of 2025? By the time you read this our season will have been announced. COLD LEMONADE and KARAOKE will continue on a monthly schedule. Early in the year we'll be hosting a one act play festival. And as we move through the year we'll be actively planning for 2026 - Our 100th anniversary! So, we'll be keeping busy, and I encourage you to join us - as volunteers, performers or possibly on our Board - but especially as our patrons!
We couldn't do what we do without you! Enjoy The Show and Happy Holidays!
