A Message from County Commissioner Chairman Sergio Granados:

Welcome to the end of our 2023 Summer Theater Camp, presented by Theatrical Artist's Prep and the Union County Performing Arts Center (UCPAC).

On behalf of the Union County Board of County Commissioners, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all the participants in this Theater Camp. Your involvement is what makes this program so special. I am particularly proud because this year, for the first time, as part of my 2023 Chairman Theater Initiativeunder the “Building a Stronger Union County” theme, I launched a scholarship program to promote the arts for our youth, which benefitted 20 of this camp’s participants.

This program not only showcases the power of collaboration and commitment to the arts, but also provides an incredible opportunity for students to develop their skills and shine on stage.

I would like to express my thanks to Deanna Hunt, the Director of UCPAC, and Sam Hahn-Simpson, the Owner/Artistic Director of Theatrical Artist's Prep, for their continued guidance and leadership. Gratitude also goes to the Department of Parks and Recreation for their efforts in bringing this camp to fruition.

I am excited to witness the performances and once again, extend my appreciation to all the youth participants who represent a promising future for the performing arts industry.

Your dedication, hard work, and exceptional talent are commendable.
