Welcome to a new era for Tuckahoe MS/HS theater! We are humbled to be carrying on the wonderful traditions established by Dr. Cathy Gmoser over the past 28 years. Dr. Gmoser directed 28 different shows over her illustrious and prolific career. We are excited and honored to be picking up the baton from Dr. Gmoser and leading our talented young students into the future of theater education
"Annie" is a show about hope and optimism and seemed the perfect inaugural show for our new identity as "Tuckahoe Theater Works". The creators of "Annie" wrote their show at a time in great need of hope and optimism. It seems we find ourselves in another time in need of these valuable attributes. Theater is a place where students can develop both sensitivity and empathy while building peer relationships at the same time. The skills our students have utilized to bring "Annie" to life include problem-solving, and creative-thinking skills all while building pro-social behaviors, as well as bringing us some much-needed hope and optimism!
We hope you enjoy our production of "Annie" as much as we have enjoyed putting it together with all of these inspiring young performers, musicians, and crew members. Welcome to our new Tuckahoe Theater Works family!
