EMILY SWENSON (Annie) A senior, Emily is thrilled to return to the stage with Tuckahoe High School for the fourth and final time, following roles in Beauty and the Beast (Fille de la Ville) Into the Woods (Florinda) and Freaky Friday (Karly). Emily has had the opportunity to enrich her joy for music and theater through participation in Vocal Cats, NYSSMA, Concordia Conservatory Acapella Vocal Ensemble, and Honors Academy. In her free time, she enjoys playing the piano and drawing. Emily expresses her deep gratitude to Julie Schmidt, Mr. duChateau, Mr. Grasso, Mrs. Buchanan, and her family for their continued support and guidance.

 

HENRY SCHELL PODOLL (Warbucks) is thrilled to be performing among friends in his fourth THS production. His previous appearances include The Music Man (Ewart), Into the Woods (Baker), and Beauty and the Beast (Beast/Prince). Outside THS, he was selected to the New York All-State ensemble this year and participated in the LSM Music Festival over the summer. He has experience in opera, musical theater, art song, and jazz. He also studies the trumpet and piano. He will go on to study classical vocal performance in college. He is eternally grateful to Mr. D and all others who have supported him through this stage of his musical journey.

 

JULIA FRET (Hannigan) is a senior at THS, and this will be her seventh and final production at Tuckahoe. In addition to the show, Julia is a competitive dancer and was a part of the All County, Area All-State, and NYSSMA programs. She will forever be grateful for these last 7 years, this program, and the talented and humble individuals who were a part of it. A special thanks to Mr. duChateau, Mr. Grasso, and Ms. Buchanan for their dedication to this production. Thank you to the amazing cast, crew, and pit for everything, and let’s put on a show! Enjoy!

 

RENEE ARANA (Grace Farrell) is very excited to perform her final show at THS! Her previous roles at Tuckahoe include the Mysterious Woman in Into the Woods and the Wardrobe in Beauty and the Beast. She’s studied at the Concordia Conservatory since 2012 and has participated in NYSSMA, All County, and Area All-State for both violin and voice. She would like to thank Ms. Buchanan, Mr. duChateau, Mr. Grasso, and the many students who make up the heart of this show. She also wants to thank her family for their unwavering support (she loves them very much!).

 

MILES RIVERA (Rooster) is a Junior at THS and it is his second time performing in the musical. Because of his amazing experience with everyone last year, he decided to go for another year. Miles would like to thank his teachers and classmates for making this a memorable and fun experience and also his family for supporting him. He sure hopes that he can pull this off.

 

ARTEMIS CAPOROSO (Lily, Student Choreographer) Artemis is thrilled to be in her fourth Tuckahoe production! She has been dancing her whole life and adores being on stage. Thank you so much to the entire Tuckahoe Theater Works team for this experience!!

 

SANTIAGO ORTEGA-BROWN (Bert Healy) This is Santiago's fifth show. Before Annie, he has been in productions of Into the Woods, Beauty and The Beast, Kiss Me Kate, and a Night of Shakespeare. For this show, he is playing the eccentric announcer, Bert Healy! He would like to thank his friends, teachers, and family for their continuous support.

 

COLIN CHALK (Drake) is thrilled to appear in his second Tuckahoe Theater Works production! He made his debut on this stage in last year's Beauty and the Beast. Other credits include: Willy Wonka Jr. (Cottle), and Hamilton (Artistree). He also plays trumpet in the middle school concert band, and jazz ensemble, and cello for the middle school orchestra. His hobbies include: dancing, gaming, and scouting the best amusement parks to visit. He thanks Mr. duChateau, Mr. Grasso, Ms. Buchanan, and everyone in the Annie cast and crew!
