Martha Whisby-Wells, Songstress
Mrs. Martha Whisby-Wells is a talented songstress and Gospel Jazz artist and has toured with Gloria Estefan and Betty Wright. Also to her credit, Ms. Whisby-Wells is the proud owner of Moselle's Boutique in Historic Overtown, runs the Miss Overtown, USA Pageant, and is the proud mother of up and coming youth film maker Elijah Wells.

Key Note Speaker Russell Benford, Miami-Dade County Deputy Mayor
Russell Benford serves as Deputy Mayor of Miami-Dade County, the largest county in the State of Florida. Russell uses his knowledge of growth management, capital planning and economic development to provide direct oversight to the Community Action and Human Services, Public Housing and Community Development, and Juvenile Services Departments; as well as the Miami-Dade Economic Advocacy Trust, Miami-Dade Homeless Trust, The Children’s Trust, South Florida Workforce and Youth Crime Task Force. Russell is a member of the Florida City/County Management Association, the National Forum for Black Public Administrators, the Urban League, 100 Black Men of South Florida, 5000 Role Models of Excellence and the Miami Children's Initiative.

Jim Defede Reporter, CBS4 Miami
A native of Brooklyn, New York, Jim DeFede has been a reporter for more than 25 years. Between 2002 and 2005, DeFede was a metro columnist for The Miami Herald. In 2006 Defede joined CBS4 News as a member of the station’s I-Team.In 2009, he won his first Emmy. Currently, he is the host of the station’s Sunday morning public affairs program, Facing South Florida, which airs Sundays at 8:30 am.
