 Creative Team Biographies 

 

Kendra Bell (Costume Designer) Before settling at UNR, she has worked for Boston based Liars and Believers, Tufts University, Costume Works Inc., Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Glimmerglass Opera, and Hubbard Street Dance. Some of her other design work includes The Kiss, Cabaret, and Alice in Wonderland for Berklee College of Music, The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity (Company One), and Peter (Braintree Films). She is honored to have received an Elliot Norton Award for the Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity, a Best Design Award for Le Cabaret Grimm from the New York Musical Theatre Festival and an KCACTF Excellence in Costume Construction. In 2017, she participated in an Artist Residency Program in Korpo Finland. She holds a BFA in Studio Art from Millikin University and a MFA in Theatrical Design from Rutgers University.

 

Jessica “Jesse” Brown (Lighting Designer) is originally from Maui, HI. Jesse graduated from the University of Nevada in 2019 with a BA in Technical Theater. Since graduating, they have worked as a Lighting Designer and a Technical Director for several venues in the Midwest. Now, they are back in the city that they love doing lighting for their alma mater once again. In their spare time, they enjoy creating digital art, playing early 2000’s video games, and cuddling with their two cats.

 

Evan Gadda (Assistant Director) has been in 32 plays and musicals. He would like to thank Kasey and CJ for their faith.

 

Camden Mauer (Assistant Director) is a recent graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno’s Musical Theatre program. He has assistant directed children’s productions, including Shrek: The Musical, Jr. and The Little Mermaid, Jr. He has also served as the Makeup Designer for UNR’s production of Twelfth Night.

 

Aren Long (Accompanist) recently joined the UNR faculty as a pianist and lecturer and is incredibly excited to be the accompanist for Little Women. Aren received his Master's in Piano Performance from UNR in 2021 and serves as the keyboardist for the California Arts in Corrections Program, Reno First United Methodist Church, and Reno Phil Choir. In addition to playing piano, he holds a strong passion for music education and teaches violin programs for the Brookfield School and Reno Phil Association Kids. Aren is also the creative force behind Aren & The Neighborhood, an independent community of local artists whose debut album On Greenwich Way is releasing in Fall 2021.

 

Adalynn Wells (Assistant Music Director) is so excited to be a part of the musical team for Little Women. Though she is pursuing her bachelors in Music Education, some of her performance credits include Gianni Schicchi (La Ciesca) and Elf the Musical, Jr. (Sara). When she is not singing herself, she enjoys teaching her studio of young singers and pianists and looks forward to having a music program of her own. Thank you to her mentors and loved ones who have shaped and supported the teacher in her.

 

Maren Bowie (Assistant Stage Manager) is a transfer student from Sacramento City College and is very excited to be a part UNR’s theatre program for her first show. She is a junior at UNR majoring in Theatre - Acting Specialization. Maren’s previous work includes Assistant Stage Manager for a production of Much Ado About Nothing and various backstage jobs while at Sacramento City College.
