Jeff Poindexter
Music Director
Jeff has served as music director/keyboardist for Sisters of Swing, Forever Plaid, Nunsense (Fox Valley Repertory), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Theatre Nebula) and Scrooge: the Musical (Steel Beam Theatre). As a keyboardist, he has played for Altar Boyz (Fox Valley Repertory), Hang Your Hat at Mr. Kelly's (Three Cat Productions) and Pajama Game (Music on Stage). Jeff is also a frequent collaborator at Second City and the Annoyance Theatre in Chicago, with credits including: Champeero, Coed Prison Sluts, 40 Whacks, Streeterville, Tiny Facists, Tragedy of Balloon Boy, Kitty Massacre, Charlie Brown XMAS, Salem, Splatter Theatre, Steamwerkz, and Fire and Beer. Jeff holds music degrees from the University of Nebraska and DePaul University.
Alec Kinastowski
Light/Sound Designer
Alec Kinastowski is thrilled to be back with Up And Coming. He has been immersed in the technical entertainment industry for well over a decade and obtained a BFA in lighting design from The Theatre School at DePaul University. Since then, he has become the Technical Director for Carmel Catholic High School, joined the technical staff of Spotlight Youth Theatre, and has designed for countless other theatre productions and companies all over Chicagoland including Big Deal Productions, The Metropolis, The Devonshire Playhouse, Wishing Star, Highland Park Players, St. James Productions, Schaumburg On Stage and many more. Alec is also the owner of Kinasthetics, Inc., a supplier of lighting and audio products, services, and installations for all facets of the entertainment industry with a portfolio all of its own. Previous UAC credits include: Legally Blonde and Jesus Christ Superstar. He is extremely grateful for this opportunity to collaborate with UAC once again on this production.
