We are so proud of all the achievements received by V&T Dancers and alumni this year in 2022!

 

Skylar Campbell - First Soloist, Houston Ballet

Former Principal Dancer, National Ballet of Canada

During his tenure at The National Ballet of Canada, Skylar's repertoire included the title role in Will Tuckett’s Pinocchio and danced the title roles in John Neumeier’s Nijinsky and Guillaume Côté’s Le Petit Prince. His repertoire also includes principal roles such as Hilarion in Giselle, Gurn in La Sylphide, Mercutio and Benvolio in Romeo & Juliet, Peter/The Nutcracker in The Nutcracker, Alain in La Fille mal gardée, Jack/The Knave of Hearts and Lewis Carroll/The White Rabbit in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Florizel in The Winter’s Tale, Camille in The Merry Widow, Bluebird in The Sleeping Beauty, Puck in The Dream, Levin in Anna Karenina and Alan in A Streetcar Named Desire.
 
Chisako Oga - Soloist, Boston Ballet
Chisako will dance the Sugar Plum Fairy role with Boston Ballet in their Nutcracker. She has played Giselle as well as many other lead roles earlier this year. Chisako also recently married her love, Jimmy Cunningham. 
 
Madeline Woo - First Soloist, Royal Swedish Ballet
Some of Madeline’s repertoire includes: The Chosen One in Bejart’s Rite of Spring, Queen Mrytha in Giselle, Snow Queen in Nutcracker, Jiri Kylian’s Wings of Wax, David Dawson’s Grey Area, Ohad Naharin’s Minus 16, and Ekman’s Eskapist, In the Middle, Somewhat Elevated, Swan Lake in the role of Odette/Odile.  Forsythe's In The Middle Somewhat Elevated. R Petit's Carmen. T. Rojo's Cinderella, R. Nureyev's Kitri in Don Quixote. G. Balachine's Theme and Variation. J. Robbins' In the Night. 
 
Aviva Gelfer-Mundl - Boston Ballet II. 
2022 Elaine Koshimizu Scholarship for Excellence In Dance
Represented Boston Ballet, performing as a guest artist at ADC/IBC International Ballet Competition Finals Gala 2022.  
Prix de Lausanne 2018 Prize Winner. Music Center Grand prize Winner 2018.
2018 Vaganova Priz Internatioal Ballet Competition Silver Medalist. YAGP Paris 2017 Gold Medalist, Graduate of Vaganova Ballet Academy. 
 
Lawrence Chen  - Inland Pacific Ballet and Oakland Ballet.
Graduated from Pomona College as a chemistry major in 2020.
 
Sophie Taylor - San Diego Ballet 
 
Maria Cherezova - Novosibirsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater 
 
YAGP 2022-2023 Regionals
Madeleine Lee, 1st place Senior Division Contemporary and Top
12 in the Classical Category.
