Phoebe Lin
as Clara
Phoebe is 16 years old and a junior at Irvine High School. She began dancing at the age of 3 and joined V&T when she was 9 years old. Since then, Phoebe has found her passion for ballet under the outstanding instruction of Victor and Tatiana. This is her 7th Nutcracker and she is honored to play the role of Clara. Previously, she has danced the parts of Party Girl, Soldier, Clown, Clara’s Friends, Chinese, Waltz, and Snowflake. Phoebe is competing in YAGP this year, having earned Top 12 in 2018. When outside of the studio, she enjoys crocheting, playing the guitar, graphic design, and video games. Phoebe is incredibly thankful for the opportunities and training she has received from Victor and Tatiana, and wishes everyone a successful Nutcracker.

Diane Doberstein
as Dancing Doll (Evening)
Diane is 14 and a freshman at Woodbridge High School. At the age of 4 in 2012, Diane started dancing at Maple Conservatory of Dance. She started dancing just as a small hobby but throughout her years in Maple, she grew to love and cherish ballet. However, when covid hit in 2020 it ended her time at Maple sooner than expected. Luckily, V&T openly welcomed Diane and her fellow students, and ever since V&T has been Diane’s new second home. This will be Diane’s 9th Nutcracker and 3rd with V&T. She would like to thank Maple Conservatory for lighting the fire for Diane’s love of dance and helping her get a great foundation to grow from. And to Victor and Tatiana Kasatsky for helping her grow so much ever since she came. Diane is excited to continue the tradition of Nutcracker and is looking forward to making more memories with V&T.
