Meet the Directors

Laura Philips

WLHS Drama Co-Director/Producer

Laura was roped into directing the 2014 WLHS musical, Beauty and the Beast, and loved it SO much they just can't get rid of her! She teaches math at Richland Community College and owns an online quilt supply store. She and husband, Matt, live on 5 acres in Warrensburg. Pushing the cast to do their best, making them look good, and spending time with the grandkids are her favorite parts of the show.
April Higgs

WLHS Drama Co-Director/Director

April joined WLHS Drama in 2019 to direct Frozen Jr. and has been with us ever since. She has always loved theatre and has been involved in many capacities over the years, but her favorite roles by far have been those backstage where she loves helping to make the magic happen. April wants to thank her two favorite boys for all their love and support, none of this would have been possible without them.
Jilllian Roth

Music Director

Jillian first graced our stage last year as Maleficent in the Descendants. She had so much fun in her first onstage performance that she followed up playing Mal in Mid-Summer Moon's production of the same title. In her free time, Jillian likes to hang out with friends and family, do Bible study, and randomly burst into show tunes.
Sunset Ziegler

Choreographer

Sunset has appeared in over 15 shows, has worked tech crew, and is making her choreography debut as the choreographer of Grease. When she is not rehearsing, you can find her at either a rehearsal for another show, singing, or dancing. She has been dancing for over 6 years and loves every second of it. She enjoys watching the growth of everyone from day one.
