NOTES FROM THE DIRECTOR
I am extremely proud of this production. God has surely blessed me with teaching here at WCA these past two years and especially with this unique opportunity to teach drama. Working with the students has been an absolute blessing. Each and every one of them are so talented and hardworking. I have gotten to know them so much better and am sad to leave them. I have also learned so much through this opportunity. This is my first time teaching drama and directing a production and I could not do it alone. My many thank you's go out to:
- Parents - Thank you, thank you, and thank you again for sending your students to WCA and allowing them to be a part of this production. Thank you for all the reminders you had to give to your children, all the encouragement to help them push through, and all your volunteering. You are truly appreciated.
- Teachers - Thank you for your support of this production. I have always felt you were all behind me and willing to help and encourage. Your companionship along this journey has been unforgettable. Even before Fiddler, I feel your love and support of the arts and it is truly a blessing to me.
- Shane Baranek & Melanie Balkany - My partners! Thank you both for being there to bounce ideas off of, tell me the truth, and help so much. Your questions helped me think of things I may never have! I couldn't have pulled it off without either of you.
- Eric Vanderhoof - Thank you for giving me this opportunity in the first place. Thank you for entrusting me with this endevour.
- Stephen Lund - Thank you for supporting me and this production the whole time, but especially during sports season.
- Coaches - Thank you for your flexibility during practices and allowing the students to be a part of both sports and drama. We have very talented students!
- Class of 2018 - Congratulations! I know you will go on to do many wonderful things. I hope you look back on this experience with many fond memories as I do on mine.
- Pit Orchestra - Thank you times a million! With out you we couldn't pull off a musical. Thank you so much for volunteering so much of your time. Your dedication means so much to this production.
- Aaron Garnier, my dear husband - Thanks for putting up with my long hours of talking about Fiddler, tons of singing and watching videos, as well as dancing around in the living room with me. Thanks for taking the time to stop at school, to help run scenes or build something- er, everything. I'm so glad that during this season of our lives, you had the opportunity here to work with the students, whether in sports or drama. I love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck (oops, wrong musical).
- Mom - Thanks for coming all the way from New York and helping out!
- Amber Brendtke & Brandi Bautell - Thank you for taking pictures! They came out wonderful!
- Austin Harris & Brooke Jeppeson - We're all so glad you two still stick around at WCA. Austin, thank you for your hard work cleaning out behind the stage and for never complaining a bit. Thanks for working to make the stage safe for our cast by reinforcing it. To you both, thanks for working in the sound booth.
- Kara Odegard & Betsey Brandt - Thank you for all the ticket sales and behind the scene work you did for me. Thank you for updating all the emails and printing the playbills. Betsey, thank you for working on the auction certificate and the beards as well! You both are so willing to help and are an example to me.
- Suzanne Jones - Thank you for providing advertisements, painting the tombstones, and making all the scarves for the girls. You volunteered at the perfect time so I was able to cross some things off my list.
- Settle's, Jeffery's, Glei's, Cooper's, Rodriguez's, Bobbitt's, & Jaarda's - Thank you for donating food during play week for the cast and crew. It was delicious and your volunteering is much appreciated.
