Sandra Struthers
Theatre Director
SANDRA STRUTHERS is a director, actor, playwright and educator. She heads up PlayPen/PlayGrounds, the playwriting program at WHS, as well as being part of the directing team. As an actress, Sandra recently appeared in CTC's Spamtown, History Theater’s Glensheen, Park Square’s Hamlet, Mixed Blood's Barbecue, and The Guthrie's The Critic. She has also worked locally with Ten Thousand Things, Frank, and Pillsbury House, and regionally at Mint Theater, Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Actor’s Theater of Louisville, Virginia Stage, and Walnut Street. Sonia Gerber
Theatre Director
Sonia Gerber is the Director of Theatre at Wayzata High School. She designs and instructs the theatre courses, sponsors Drama Club, supervises the extra-curricular theatre program, and directs. Directing credits at WHS include Failure: A Love Story, The Secret Garden, Little Shop of Horrors, The 39 Steps, Thoroughly Modern Millie, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, The Sparrow, and more. Sonia earned her M.A. in Educational Theatre from NYU and lives in Minneapolis with her husband, son, and dog.

Grant Sorenson
Theatre Director
Grant Sorenson is an actor and director based in Minneapolis. He has been seen onstage at the Guthrie, Theater Latte Da, The Children's Theatre Company, Yellow Tree Theater, Frank Theater, The Playwright's Center, and others. He was honored with a 2016 Ivey Award for his performance in Now or Later with New Epic Theater. His recent work as a director includes Vincent River and Boston Marriage (Arrow Theater) and The Great Work (7th House Theater/Guthrie Theater.) His directing work at Wayzata High School includes Legally Blonde, Vanity Fair, Chicago, Mary Poppins, The Crucible, The Glass Menagerie, The Mail Order Bride, and The Debutante. He received his training at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities and is a proud member of the Actors' Equity Association.
