From the Producers

We are delighted that you are able to join us for WCT’s production of Guys & Dolls Jr. We are so proud of our cast. They have worked hard these last ten weeks learning lines, blocking, songs, harmonies, and choreography. Along with everything that happens on the stage, these kids have been dedicated to their theater family; bonding as a cast, supporting each other, and working together on this fantastic production. 

Together our director, Skip, music director, Barbara, and choreographer, Debra, have created this fantastic production while leading us all with patience, kindness, and a bit of humor.  

We are so lucky to work with the talented Mike Murin on set design, Don Allers on set construction, as well as Jim Durkin on sound, and Craig Gehr on lights. The sets, sound, and lighting are what really take this show to another level. 

As you watch any production, it can be hard to appreciate everything that goes on behind the scenes to make it happen.  We would like to thank our fellow WCT board members and, specifically, our executive board (Mandy, Tobin, Stephanie, and Kathy) and committee chairs (Alissa, Eunice, Stephanie, and Ivelina) who began this journey with us almost a year ago. Thank you for your enthusiasm, humor, creativity, and organization. We could not have done it without you.

A big thank you to our cast parents, all of whom participate on a committee. From sewing, painting, publicizing, designing, and chaperoning dismissal, we are so grateful for your time and the support you have given to make this show an exceptional experience.

The same goes for our team of high school interns. With everything that high school demands, these young adults take time from their busy schedules to supervise our rehearsals, lead warm-ups, run lines with cast members, review dance numbers, and work behind the scenes during the shows.

Finally, we want to thank our families. We could not have done this without you. Producing a show takes over your life, so thank you for picking up the pieces, dealing with the craziness, and supporting us through it all. 

We are so incredibly proud of these kids and all they have achieved. They are a remarkable team, a brilliant cast, and a wonderful group of people. We hope to see them all return for another WCT production (or WHS) next year!
