The Los Angeles Theatre Center is a facility of the City of Los Angeles Cultural Affairs Department amd operated by The Latino Theater Company.

This year we have partnered with Bishop Outreach.

Awareness without action = apathy. This is the motto for the men and women who make up Bishop Outreach.  In the U.S., there are over 3,600 organizations that educate and bring about human trafficking awareness. While this is a necessary sector, being aware does not free a single human trafficking victim. Bishop Outreach is one of the few groups that actually RESCUES VICTIMS!

Each rescue involves investigation, surveillance, evidence gathering, transportation to safe houses, food, clothing, rehabilitation and an extensive after care program to re-acclimate survivors of human trafficking back into society. Bishop Outreach works with local, state and federal law enforcement (DHS and FBI) to help expose, arrest and prosecute the traffickers, while providing the necessary services to the victim to start the healing process. Each step requires a well trained, experienced team to perform these functions successfully.

Human Trafficking is at epidemic levels throughout the world. In the U.S. alone, it is estimated that in 2013, nearly 300,000 minors were trafficked into sex and labor slavery. The fight is ongoing and the stakes are high but this IS a battle that can be won...
