Notes from the Director:
This musical has been a journey. I discovered this musical when I was a Senior at Monta Vista High School in Cupertino, CA. In an instant, I fell in love with the characters, the music, and the idea that someone could write a musical that connected so well to what students go through. It was a dream of mine to be in some version of this, and that dream came true when I chose to direct this show for WHS.
These students have put together an amazing show, and we are all excited to present it to you. The whole process has been filled with laughs, tears, cries of joy and cries of frustration. Having only two months to put together a show that certainly deserves more time, is a difficult process, but these students have been absolutely amazing. This show is going to be fantastic and we hope you enjoy it.
A few last minute thank yous:
- Richard McCue: Thank you for stepping up last minute to be our wonderful Principal, I mean, Vice Principal Panch. You have brought such amazing energy to this show and have really helped bring out the best in these students.
- Lori & Bruce Bertolucci: Thank you, Mom and Dad, for being supportive of all the crazy things I have done in my life. For encouraging me to always go for what I want and to strive for more than the bottom line. You taught me to push forward, be kind, and always do things for others. You are the reason I am the person and teacher that I am.
- Jaime Neal: For encouraging us to add a food drive to our musical, because you remind us that giving back is just as important as having a good time. We can all make a difference. Also, thank you for being the most amazing Mother-in-Law ever!!
- My amazing wife, Sami Neal, you have been the one person to keep me going. You have been there during my ups and downs. I can't imagine my life without your support and love. Thank you for everything.
