    As the founder of Young Actors’ Theatre, Jean has been working with students and theatre for over 25 years.  Jean and Young Actors’ Theatre have received numerous awards including the Channel 10 Leadership Award, multiple NYA Awards, and many more.  Some of her favorite directing credits include:  Beauty & the Beast, Les Miserables, Ragtime, Hairspray, West Side Story and Fiddler on the Roof.

    Kim is thrilled to be back working at YAT!  She lived and worked for many years in New York, and has performed all over the country. Some of her more recent roles include Phyllis in “Follies,” Ruth in “The Pirates of Penzance,” Emma Goldman in “Ragtime,” and Donna in "Mamma Mia." She directed “The Lion King” and “Alice in Wonderland” at Young Actors’ Theatre, and is the music director for the West Hills High School Theatre. She also performs  at Off-Broadway Live in Santee, and Bodhi Tree Concerts in La Jolla.  Kim thanks her husband and kids for all their support, good humor, and patience!

    Anthony Vacio (He/Him) is a San Diego-based performer, educator, choreographer, and YAT Alumni. Growing up at YAT, from 2006 to 2015, some of his favorite memories include playing Tony in West Side Story in 2014, Stage Managing Les Miserables in 2013, and playing Seymour in the previous production of Little Shop of Horrors in 2014. After graduating from Valhalla High School, he went to California State University Fullerton to earn his BFA in Musical Theatre. While studying for his degree, He worked as a performer at the Disneyland Resort. After receiving his BFA in 2019, he began to perform in Regional Theatres around Southern California. Select Credits: Singin’ in the Rain (Don Lockwood) at New Village Arts, Anything Goes (Billy Crocker) at San Diego Musical Theatre, A Chorus Line (Paul) at The Welk Resort, West Side Story (Tony) with TACFA/Chance Theatre. He is thrilled to be back at YAT working with the next generation of Young Actors.
