I wound up in theatre because I was insanely convinced that this would, someday, result in me playing The Joker. That hasn’t quite panned out (yet), but what happened instead was finding the one thing in my entire school career that I unequivocally love. Throughout my twelve shows at UHS (10 as an actor, 2 on costume crew, 1 as a stage manager, and soon-to-be 13th as director), I’ve grown to not only love theatre, but to want to do it for the entirety of my life. This fall, I’ll be going to Minnesota State University Moorhead to major in Film Production and Acting. So long, Union--see ya from the Oscar stage.

Hey friends. I’ve literally had the time of my life doing theatre here at UHS. I’ve been a part of so many shows, but Big Fish has for sure been my fav. I’ve been on make-up crew for more shows than I can count. I starting acting junior year and I was Gay Wellington in You Can’t Take It With You, Lily Belle in The Curious Savage, and the RA/general ensemble for our district one act play this year. And now here I am, up to some super witchy business. Thank you Troupe #5406 for everything you’ve given me. I love you all. I’ll never forget any one of you.

I’ve never done anything in theatre before, but I’ve been loving it! The people and the environment are just amazing, and I couldn’t think of a better way to end my senior year. I’m forever grateful for having an opportunity to be in this musical, and will always treasure the memories I’ve made!

I have been blessed to be apart of almost every UHS Theatre production since Freshman year! I could not have picked a more fun role to finish up my Senior year with than one of the witches! I hope to continue to be a part of theatre at ECC in the coming years! Still, the UHS Fine Arts Center will always be the place I found my love for theatre!
