What is there to say about theatre? I joined when I was a freshman and since then I have done over 20 shows through high school, community, and professionally. It became my favorite thing to do pretty quickly. I met some amazing people, who not only accept me for who I am but even make fun of me for it. I plan on attending Webster University for a degree in Technical Direction, and from there plan to tour on shows. So keep your eye out for me in the future I’ve got some big plans. On a real note I don’t know how to feel about leaving, I can’t believe I won’t be able to come in to Serbus’ room in the morning and just ramble to each other. Many of the friends I’ve made here will continue on for a life time. I love the people here at UHS but I can not wait to see what the future holds for me. Thank you all, past and present, for making me into who I am. Thank you mom and dad for supporting me. Of course thank you Serbus, the things you have done are numerous.

Hallo, Ich bin Katie. I have been apart of theatre since Sophomore year. I've done multiple shows but I have only participated in one crew. House Crew. While theatre isn't something that I want to do for the rest of my life it has definitely impacted my decision. After high school I plan on going to law school somewhere and doing something because apparently becoming an Italian mobster’s wife isn't an option. Anyway, I would like to thank all of the cast and crew for showing up and doing difficult things. Y’all did great!

I’ve been a part of sound crew for 7 productions. For my final main stage production at Union, I decided to try my hand as the production stage manager. I joined theatre junior year but, looking back, it’s a wonder I survived school before having crew to look forward to. Some of you may not grasp the work that goes into a musical: the hours spent gathering makeup, costumes, and props, building and painting sets, hanging lights, editing sound effects, putting together programs, working with the projector for the first time, or rehearsing music. Not to mention the hours of singing and dancing the cast endured. Thank you to our director, cast, and crew for the tireless hours of work and to the audience for supporting local theatre. This has been one “heck” of a ride and I’m happy to end it on a high note. “It ends the way a story’s ending is supposed to be.”
