The Birds: A Modern Adaptation - June 11 - June 12, 2021

Bronxville High School

 WHO'S WHO

Manu Monogenis (Blue Footed Booby) - Manu is a Junior at Bronxville High School. He has always been a fan of acting, directing, and film, so you bet he’s excited for his first play. Manu has taken a couple of classes to help him prepare for his upcoming debut including Acting, Directing, and Speech and Debate. Manu looks forward to portraying the “Blue Footed Boobie” in the upcoming play, “The Birds”. He feels truly honored to be a part of this magnificent group, and he hopes to make a dashing return for his final play next year.

Jack Pasquale (Bananaquit) - Jack is a freshman at Bronxville High School.  He is a Broadway super fan and loves all musical genres.  He has an operatic voice and is learning to play the ukulele in his spare time when not swimming, indoor rock climbing, zip lining, hanging out at the beach or raising his three guinea pigs.  The Birds is Jack’s first play and he thanks Mr. Cross, the cast and crew for welcoming him and making this such a wonderful experience.

Krish Pero (Flamingo / Prometheus - matinee) -  This is Krish’s first performance in play, and he is honored to debut in such a dignified role.  More importantly, if Krish were a bird, he would be a red-rumped bush tyrant. No doubt -- a red-rumped bush tyrant.

Elle Reilly (Crow) -  Elle has been in lots of shows and hopes to be in lots more. When not embodying Crow, she spends countless hours pondering the mysteries of her spirit bird -- the perplexing scrubwren.

Ethan Sanna (Titmouse) - Ethan is a Junior at Bronxville High School. This is his first ever experience in theatre, yet he’s always had an interest in plays. His two favorite shows are To Kill a Mockingbird and A Midsummer’s Night Dream! He’s thankful to the cast, crew, and above to Mr. Cross - Ethan’s inspiration to join the play - for a fun and memorable experience.

Katarina Seuffert (Parrot) - Katarina is a freshman and is excited to be part of The Birds. She has been in multiple musicals since she became enthusiastic about acting in the seventh grade, and this is her second play. She feels very lucky to have gotten to work with Mr. Cross and this talented cast this year.

AJ Radik (Stage Manager) - AJ will attend Harvard University in the fall.  More importantly, if he were a bird, he would most certainly be a fluffy-backed tit-babbler.  Yes, a fluffy-backed tit-babbler. Look it up.

George Daher (Stage Manager) - George is a senior. He has been doing shows since 10th grade, participating in the crew for the play (with important roles such as Shoe SFX in Almost Maine) and participating in musicals as a member of the pit. This year, George is working as a stage manager for both productions as they run simultaneously! He is grateful for the opportunity to work alongside Mr. Cross, AJ, and the crew to make each show such a memorable experience.

Teresa Markola (Art and Social Media) - Teresa is a junior at Bronxville who is thrilled to be part of her first play (officially), but is no stranger to the school's theater program. Having had the opportunity to be part of the art and social media teams and help bring different elements to life, she is happy to have made this play a reality after such a strange, yet rewarding year.

Nika Clark (Art) - Nika is a senior at Bronxville. She has worked on crew for every single play and musical since she entered the school her freshman year. Her main area has been art and/or set, although she has worked in other things. She was also in the ensemble in one musical. She would like to thank everyone she's ever worked with (yes, everyone) for making crew and theatre such a special experience and a wonderful part of her high school career.

Caroline Palermo (Costumes) This is Caroline's first theatrical production in high school. In middle school, she did dabble as a thespian, but decided to leave the stage. Now that she is back, she asks herself: "Why have I not been doing this all along?"  She looks forward to diving into more theatrical work as she enters college and wants to thank Mr. Cross, the cast, and her fellow crew members for making this such a wonderful experience.
