Shakespeare’s classic tale of star-crossed lovers from feuding families gets an ultra-modern update in this Firebird Theatre student film production.
The warring Capulets and Montagues have destroyed their fair Verona, pitting neighbor against neighbor and thwarting young love, friendships, and community at every turn. When Romeo and Juliet meet at a dance and instantly fall for one another, the entire town is torn between love for their own and hatred for the other.
This modern, gritty production was filmed on location on the grounds of Pennhurst Asylum in Spring City, PA.
