SYNOPSIS
A small group of students help a charismatic individual (Jesus) unite a community and overcome their differences and division through the telling of different parables. Loosely based on the Gospel according to Matthew, the character Jesus uses a wide variety of theatre games, storytelling techniques, and a hefty dose of humor to connect this eccentric group of individuals within authentic forms of communication.
Each parable is emphasized by a blend of songs, ranging in style from pop to vaudeville, as the general principle of “love thy neighbor” dances across the stage. Act 2 dissolves hauntingly into the Last Supper and the Crucifixion, but the enduring messages of Kindness, Tolerance and Love remains.
