Mary Poppins - February 21 - February 23, 2020

Mifflin County High School Drama Club

 DIRECTOR AND PRODUCER NOTES

DIRECTOR'S NOTE:

"Mary Poppins is such a classic and nostalgic story for so many people. When approaching this production, between the sets, costumes, choreography, and tons of singing, we knew this show was going to be no small task. This group of students have really embraced the challenge and have taken this journey in stride and have been an absolute joy to work with. Seeing different facets of the school community come together to help build this show is heartwarming. Many hours of preparation and devotion to getting it just right. I want to send out a special thanks to the many people that have had a hand in helping this show come to life.

Mary Poppins is sure to show the growing abilities and outreach that the drama club at Mifflin County High School has been going through. Each year the goal is to continue to grow the club and the show and to bring something truly special to the school and the community. These students, many returned from previous shows, and many first year performers, have been discovering and growing their appreciation for theater. They have come energized, tackling long hours, and ready to offer their time and their own ideas.

We are excited to be presenting the timeless Mary Poppins to you all and hope you find the messages of hope, love, and family an inspiration to take with you. Enjoy the show!"

PRODUCER'S NOTE:

"It is with pride that I express how fortunate I am to be a part of this year's musical, Mary Poppins

I would like to thank all of the hardworking young men and women that make up this theatre group. The actors, singers, and dancers have rehearsed and practiced their crafts as early as September of 2019. A special thanks to students as well as adult volunteers who worked remarkably to build wonderful sets and costumes to allow the audience to escape into a world of fantasy and enchantment.

We are very fortunate to have outstanding people in the roles of director, choreographers, and stage managers. They've worked endless hours to give you a great show. Thank you, once again.

To the parents, thank you for encouraging your child(ren) and allowing them to display their unique talent to the community.

The collaboration among the students, teachers, community members, and administration has once again made us all proud to be members of the Mifflin County School District."
