Shrek The Musical - May 07

Montgomery Township Education Association

 End Notes

We had planned to perform Shrek the Musical in 2020 and when we abruptly had to stop rehearsing in March 2020, we vowed we were going to perform it in the future. We are so thrilled to be able to present Shrek the Musical in 2022.

Shrek the Musical is based on the 2001 American computer-animated comedy film, which is loosely based on the 1990 fairy tale picture book of the same name by William Steig. Shrek the Musical is a one-of-a-kind, hilarious fairy tale in which curses are reversed, monsters become heroes, donkeys and dragons find love, princesses are beautiful in all shapes and sizes and characters gather new confidence and strength in themselves.  Shrek proves that beauty is truly in the eye of the ogre.

It has been a pleasure to work with our amazing cast and crew! We are so grateful for their enthusiasm and dedication. We are thrilled, excited, and appreciative of our colleagues from every area of our district, their families, and former staff, who came together to work, laugh, and perform together. So many people have devoted a tremendous amount of talent, time, and energy to make this production a success.

So sit back and experience the magic of Shrek the Musical. We hope songs like Freak Flag, Make a Move, and Beautiful Ain't Pretty touch your hearts as they have touched ours. Please enjoy our Music From the Heart presentation of Shrek.
