Barbara Macko
Director
Barbara is the Assistant Drama & Choir Director. She has Directed and Music Directed several North shows. She has performed at Live Arts Theatre, Center Stage North, and Lionheart Theatre. She has even been nominated for a Big Easy Award for her Music Direction of GUYS AND DOLLS at Rivertown Repertory Theatre and a Shuler Award for her Music Direction of INTO THE WOODS. She has also performed at Atlanta Lyric Theatre and performed in City Springs Theatre’s inaugural show, 42nd STREET, starring Tony Award winner, Shuler Hensley. Barbara also opened another theatre, THE EAGLE, with Player’s Guild of Sugar Hill’s production of THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST and was recently part of their production of CALENDAR GIRLS. A native of upstate New York, Barbara currently lives in Suwanee with her very supportive drummer husband, Jeff (her biggest fan and fellow Disney fanatic) and their three dogs, Stella, Satchel & Sassie.
Julia Vara
Assistant Director
Julia Vara is a Senior at NFHS and currently in the Triple Threat Musical Theatre, and Advanced Drama classes as well as serving as a teacher's assistant for the Rising Stars class. Along with theatre, Julia is also in Chamber Choir, the top-level mixed choir, and is apart of the Tri-M Music Honor Society. Julia is also very excited to be serving as this year's president of Thespian Troupe 5368. Julia is also apart of the Cumming First United Methodist Church choir and has an internship at The Off-Broadway Closet. Previous shows include BRIGADOON (Meg Brockie), TREASURE ISLAND (Jim Hawkins), THE PAJAMA GAME (Mae/Costume), DRACULA( Maid/Vixen), SEVEN BRIDES (Alice), YOU CAN’T TAKE IT WITH YOU (Costume Designer), WHITE CHRISTMAS (Mrs. SnoringMan), STREETCAR (Costume Crew), JOSEPH (Ensemble). She would like to thank her Mom, Dad, and sister for all of their loving support and the Directorial team for pushing her to be the best she can be.
