A Note from the Director
Welcome to NHMS and to our production of Beauty and the Beast, Jr!
When I asked our cast why they thought it was important that we share this story, I got some thoughtful answers about not judging a book by its cover, how you treat others matters, and that we should learn to care for others without judgement. This was so wonderful to hear- that the message of this classic fairy tale is still ringing true for us today. As we grow our community of student actors and crew members, families, teachers, administrators, and you the audience, I hope that you will all enjoy seeing the love and heart of the story and the music shining through. To me this story is about the choices that we make in life, and how that can ripple through and change those around us for better or worse.
I'm so grateful for this choice-having the honor of directing this musical with the best team of collaborators and friends.
