WORDS FROM OUR PASTOR

“God’s grace, mercy and peace to all who’ve been birthed into the Body of Christ!!!              

 “I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making requests with joy, for your fellowship in the gospel  from the first day until now; being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” Philippians 1:2-6

As we Worship and Praise the Lord our God today, we honor the CENTER BOARD and CAMPING MINISTRY of this local branch of Zion called NAZARENE.  Your labor of love for our Lord has been a great blessing, as you willingly gave of your time, talent and treasure! (Matthew 20:26-28; Galatians 6:2; 2 Corinthians 9:7; Hebrews 13:17)

For over fifty years, from Summer Camps to Harvest, Spring, and Winter Retreats, our Ministry at our Camp has helped thousands of children and youth come to Jesus! The Labor Day Bible Conferences and Men’s and Women’s Retreats have strengthened both young and old alike!  We pray that with new facilities in our Vision (Capital Expansion Building Program Phase 3) can expand and continue to reach many more who will know, love and serve the LORD JESUS CHRIST!! (Matthew 28:18-20; Philippians 3:10)                                                                                                                         

Our Dinner/Theatre event is hosted by a celebrated special guest and Camp Nazarene Alum, CHAZ  LAMAR SHEPHERD  who is a professional  Actor, & Singer-Songwriter. He hass starred in 7^th Heaven, Woman thou Art Loosed, The Game, the musical Dreamgirls, The Nutty Professor, The Steve Harvey Show, Set it Off and numerous more!  He also released an album titled” Love & Truth” under his own label, Chaz Record/Introspect Music . We welcome and thank him for being with us today!! 

 I’m excited to see the return of the theatrical production by the Men of Nazarene , “A FLAME FROM WITHIN," directed by our own talented Actress, Singer and Young Adult Choir director, Courtney Lynee’ Stotts! This promises to be a be an edifying experience with a  blessed word of encouragement and assurance through real life drama that will help us to be revived and awakened  to take up our rightful position as Children of the Most High, living in the power of His Might!!  (Ephesians6:10)                                                                                                                                                                       

I rejoice with all the Saints of God, as we trust HIM to walk with HIM by faith daily, to bring glory and honor to HIS Name!  There is great blessing, joy and peace in faithfully  following Jesus , allowing the Lord to be real in our lives, knowing  that it will draw closer to Him! (Job 42:5)

Thank you for all the labor of love by our Chairman/ Executive Producer, Lonnie Hyman,  and all of our MEN, who are making their acting debut, for your service to our Lord this day! (Romans 12:1-2) May God’s unchanging love and richest blessings be with all of you!!! (3 John2)
