Songs For A New World - November 06 - November 15, 2020

Northeast Alabama Community College

 Letter from the President

Greetings to you all!

We are honored to have you join us for this virtual presentation of Songs for a New World. This powerful collection of stories and songs ventures into the mysteries of life, love, and choice. Our cast and crew bring this collection of stories, from a 1492 Spanish sailing ship to a ledge, 57 stories above Fifth Avenue, directly to you at home!

Many hours of work have been put into this show to design, build, and rehearse this production while making sure that our students, staff, cast, and crew stay safe and healthy. Mr. Brad Archer, our technical theatre director, alongside the production crew work wonders with set design and special effects. Thanks to all volunteers and students!

Ms. Kayleigh Smith, the Director of Theatre, leads her third production here at Northeast Alabama Community College. Ms. Smith has spent months planning, choreographing, and developing this production. Mr. Trey Gilliland, Administrative Assistant, has also been a major contributor to this production. Thanks to Ms. Smith, Mr. Archer, and Mr. Gilliland for all of their hard work.

Enjoy the show and stay safe. Our maintenance crews have been working hard to keep our campus beautiful during this semester. We cannot wait to see you back here on campus once Covid-19 has been extinguished!

We have a few important events coming soon. If you are interested in taking courses be sure to contact admissions@nacc.edu for information on getting started. Registration for Spring Semester classes ends on January 8, 2021. Also, be sure to visit us on April 22-25 or 29 – May 2, 2020, for our spring production of Bright Star alongside our Mustang String Band.

As Always, Thank You for supporting the Northeast Alabama Community College Theatre. Enjoy our virtual production of Songs for a New World.

Sincerely,

Dr. David Campbell, President
Northeast Alabama Community College
