Kathryn Brown - Director
Mrs. Brown is so incredibly proud to be in her 14th year at Pennsauken and ninth year directing shows at the high school. During the school day, she teaches musical theatre, acting, music theory, children’s theatre, and piano. Mrs. Brown has worked with numerous theatre companies as a dancer and performer including The Music Man, La Cage aux Folles, Legally Blonde, Sweeney Todd, Sweet Charity, and The Mystery of Edwin Drood, and Aladdin (UK). She is honored to have performed with the Broadway Series recent concert of The Scarlet Pimpernel at Lincoln Center. She is the co-owner of Musik Haus Studios in Palmyra, NJ teaching piano and voice to students of all ages. Congratulations to every single member of this cast and crew for taking on this incredible show with passion and fire, and for pushing me always to be the best director I can!
David Nikolas - Assistant Director
David is incredibly honored to join the team at PHS. This is his second experience as a teaching artist, having previously worked artists in The Tempest with Recess Theatre Company in Robbinsville, NJ. As an actor, David made his Off-Broadway debut this fall in KOY Productions revival of GEMINI (Fran, Lion Theatre @ Theatre Row) as well as appearing in productions at The Media Theatre in Media, PA, the Gateway Playhouse in Somers Point, NJ, and many other Philadelphia regional theatres. His favorite roles include Franz in The Producers, Georg in She Loves Me, and Fran in Gemini.
Jennifer Gordon - Choreographer
Jenn is thrilled to return for another year with the PHS Musical Theatre program. She has taught all along the east coast and helped to implement a dance program on Fort Dix army base. Through Dance Theatre of which she is the director, Jennifer founded the New Glory program that brings dance to senior citizens suffering from dementia. She is currently working toward a certification in the Progressive Ballet Technique and creating the Hope Dances program for children with special needs. As a professional ballerina, she has worked with Atlantic City Ballet, Instinct Movement Collective, Reverie Dance Theatre, and several other dance companies. Performance credits include the Nutcracker, Midsummer Night's Dream, Sleeping Beauty, Cats, The Spring Waters, Side Effect Earth, Concerto Vivaldi, and many more.
Abigail Burgin
Miss Burgin is excited to be working with the musical program this year! An alumna of Pennsauken High School, she is thrilled to be able to be a part in providing these memorable experiences for the students here now. During the day, she teaches World History here at PHS. When she is not spending her time at PHS you can find her at a Penn State football game or at the dog park with Brown Bear Burgin.
