    Stage Manager

    is very excited to take part in this production! This is her fourth show at Salem Academy, as she has been an active stage manager. Her favorite word is “ephemeral.” Outside of theatre, MB enjoys creating visual art and playing field hockey. She is so grateful to be a part of this show, and she hopes you all enjoy it.

    Thao Nguyen

    Music Director

    is an Actor/Singer who is comfortable on both the operatic and musical theatre stage. He’s acclaimed by critics for his "velvety baritone and ease and grace on stage." Off Broadway- The English world premiere of Tropical Angels with Musical Theatre Factory and the Taipei Cultural Center in Taiwan. As a champion of new music in the classical world, he was delighted to be a part of the evolution of opera in this first-of-its-kind "Zoom Opera” Fortune's Children by David Wolfson with Hartford Opera Theater. He is thrilled to be invited back to rejoin the cast in its sequel, Changing Fortunes, which is now streaming on BroadwayOnDemand. Nguyen is represented by The Brock Agency for Film/TV/Commercial. A graduate of UNC School of the Arts and based in Winston Salem, he maintains a private voice studio here. Favorite word is penultimate.     Ashley Pearson

    Director/Choreographer

    is an actor/singer/director originally from Maryland now based in Winston-Salem, and is a proud Latina. She loves serving as the theatre director at Salem Academy, where she has the most wonderful students! Ashley began studying dance, voice, acting, and piano at age three, and has performed across Maryland, DC, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina. She has studied music theatre through intensive programs at University of the Arts (Philadelphia), Elon University, and through several DC-area organizations. In 2006, she served as the director for the drama camps through YMCA, where she ran the program as well as wrote and directed the productions. She was a member of the Montgomery College Summer Dinner Theatre program for several years, including as their Company Manager in 2007. Ashley has also vocal coached individually as well as for shows and has done amateur choreography. She regularly performs throughout the triad and her favorite word is ebullient!
