Joel Bossous
as Seaweed J. Stubbs
is a departing senior at Sewanhaka High School and a welcome new addition to the musical family. Off-stage, Joel is actively involved in Sewanhaka’s music department and the District, having been a member of the All-District marching and concert bands. Outside of the program, he’s president of his graduating class, Model UN, Mock Trial, and invested in too many other extracurriculars to name. As you all experience the product of months of collective work, he’d like to thank both all those attending and those who’ve encouraged him through the process.

Matthew Cruz
as Corny Collins
As a Seventh Grader with a lead, Matthew wants to show other young students that age doesn’t matter. When you try your hardest, you can do anything. Matthew would like to thank his parents for always pushing him to do his best. He really appreciates all of the hard work that they have done to get him to and from rehearsals. Every day they inspire him to be kind, polite, and never look down at anyone. Matthew is truly greateful for this wonderful experience and all of the friends he has made. He would also like to thank his sister for helping him with any music related problems. Lastly, Matthew would like to thank Amanda and Christina for all of the hard work and effort that they have put into this show.

is an eleventh grader here at Sewanhaka highschool. He has been doing musical since he was in the 7th grade. He has been in Children of Eden, Beauty and the Beast and many of Sewanhaka's fall productions. He’s happy he gets to be a part of this cast again. He hopes you all enjoy the show.

Amanda Desire
as Motormouth Maybelle
is a sophomore here at Sewanhaka. She is beyond excited to have her first musical lead. She has performed in the Dramas here such as the Brother’s Grimm Spectaculathon and the Odd Couple. She had also been in the production of Phantom of the Opera. Hairspray is one of her favorite shows, and she is very happy to perform with such a great cast.
