Sometimes life throws you a curveball. Sometimes it throws you two. And sometimes, it throws you twenty! This season has felt like we were lost in a battlefield, trying to dodge everything thrown our way. Sometimes it is a change in the show, sometimes it is taking a show to state! Sometimes it is winning awards and recognitions, sometimes it is losses that can bring you to your knees. Frank Jr. finds himself facing similar curveballs as early as 16 and then begins to divert and plan a new path. While we do not suggest a path of crime, we can admire his creativity and adaptability in order to achieve his goals.
Our path began its divergence in the Spring of 2020 as our show was cancelled due to the COVID-19 lockdown. Believe it or not, Catch Me if You Can was going to make its debut on our stage in 2021, but sadly, with the pandemic's mandates and the fund recovery due to the cancellation of Spamalot, it was not meant to be. We have faced a variety of detours and speedbumps along the way, yet through it all we have overcome and grown.
Frank Jr. was able to not only profit from his curveballs, but also find love, and his purpose in life. We too have found growth through our curveballs, leading to our yearly wins at State and ITF, our students being chosen for All-State Shows, our mainstage selections, and now, our premiere of a magical show in the Fall of 2024!
These students before you have found their own curveballs and speedbumps throughout this production. It is honestly our hardest show to date. The technical expectations and needs, the performance stamina, and the overall company comraderie that is called for has created an experience that they will not soon forget!
We thank you for your support and guidance throughout the years as we have learned to grow and hone our skills and achievements. This community has truly welcomed our program with open arms and continously supports us through ticket sales, fundraising endeavors, and so much more! We are so excited to continue to grow and foster the love of the arts within our students and community and cannot wait to make history with you next year!
