Summary: Silent Sky tells the true story of Henrietta Leavitt, the astronomomer ahead of her time as she maps distant stars from her desk at Harvard Observatory. Henrietta faces challenges of gender inequality and societal expectations, but she will not be dissuaded and begins the process of recording the changes in Cepheid stars. Henrietta's scientific discovery has a profound and lasting impact on the field of astronomy.
