The Woodinville Repertory Theatre is a local theater company founded in 1998 by the late Peg Phillips. She was best known as Ruth-Anne Miller on the classic 1990s TV series Northern Exposure. Peg, a Woodinville resident, founded the Woodinville Rep because she believed her home town needed live theater.
Our mission is to enrich the cultural life of our community by creating high quality theater featuring diverse voices and stories that inspire our audience across the Puget Sound region.
Woodinville Repertory Theatre also offers educational programs to foster creativity and provide opportunities for individuals to explore their passion for theater. Whether you're interested in acting, writing, or behind-the-scenes work, our programs offer hands-on experiences led by seasoned professionals. Our goal is to nurture talent at all levels, from beginners to seasoned enthusiasts, and inspire future generations of theater artists. At Woodinville Repertory Theatre, we believe that racism and all forms of discrimination have no place in our society. We recognize that systemic racism has permeated every aspect of our culture and has caused deep harm to communities of color. We are committed to actively challenging and dismantling racism in all its forms, both within our organization and in the broader community.
As a theater company, we recognize that storytelling is a powerful tool for promoting empathy, understanding, and social change. We strive to use our platform to amplify the voices of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) artists, and to actively seek out and produce works that reflect diverse experiences and perspectives.
We are committed to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all members of our community, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or ability. We will actively work to build a community that celebrates diversity, fosters understanding, and promotes justice.
We recognize that this work is ongoing and that we must continually educate ourselves and our audience on issues of racial justice. We invite open and honest dialogue and commit to actively listening to and learning from the experiences of BIPOC individuals and communities.Together, we can build a more equitable and just society that celebrates the richness of human diversity.
