Matt Stella (Maiden, The Dimo, Boris, Leinster, Big Owl) is a sophomore at Daniel Hand High School and this is his first production with hands on stage. Matt joined Hands on Stage in order to step out of his comfort zone and try something new. In his free time, Matt enjoys studying geography, solving rubiks cubes, listening to music (Polo G 24/7), and hanging out with his guinea pigs. Matt is super excited and thankful to perform alongside an amazing cast. A big thank you to our awesome director and talented crew.
Eloise Strabley (Asher/Old Man/Villager/Old Caretaker/sibling 1/Owl boy/Leinster Band) has been in Rent and Clue, among other productions with Hands On Stage. This is Eloise’s last year, and last fall play at Daniel Hand. She’s had so much fun throughout the years, and would like to thank everyone, the cast and the crew, as well as Joy and Eli, for making Around the World in 8 Plays an amazing last fall play. Emma Strait (Isabel/Water/Ivan Witch/PHS King 2/Dragon Family/Julia) is excited to be in her first Hands on Stage Production. She’d like to thank the amazing cast and crew for welcoming her in to the group and making this such a great experience. Enjoy the show!
Blake Volenec (Maiden #2/Old Woman/Tree Rooter/Thomas/Alonzo/Half-A-Son/Beggar Man) is a Senior at Daniel Hand who's been in multiple school plays in the past, enjoying every second of it. The last play he did was during covid where there was no live audience, and before that his last play was in middle school, so he's very excited to be back on the stage!
Theodore Zucconi (Bernardo/Prince Ivan/Grandmother/King 1 and King 2/Owl Father/Hidesato) is 16 years old and attends the Educational Centre for the Arts in New Haven, along with Daniel Hand. His past roles include, Francis Flute (A Midsummer Nights Dream), Chip Tolentino (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), Roger (Rent), and Theo (Pippin). He would also like to thank the production team, cast and crew, who have worked so hard on Around the world in Eight Plays.

Matthew Farmer – Stage Manager
Matthew Farmer is a senior at Daniel Hand High School. It is his 4th and Final year in stage crew at DHHS, but his first show as stage manager. On the rare occasion that he’s not helping with the fall play Matt likes to spend his time with his friends or his dog playing games. Matt has put in a lot of effort into this show just like the rest of the cast and crew, and he thanks Joy and Eli for their dedication. He hopes you enjoy the show!!
Sylvia Sonenstein – Stage Manager
Sylvia is a Senior at Daniel Hand High School and is thrilled to be Co-Stage Managing for her 4th year at Hands On Stage. As well as being a part of the stage crew, Sylvia is also co-chair of her very own Quilting troop, visiting camp hazen twice a year for a quilting retreat. Sylvia wishes the cast of Around the World in 8 Plays good luck and gives a huge hug through the program to all of her crew family.
